Happy 80th Birthday NDEAM (National Disability Employment Awareness Month). What began as “National Employ the Physically Handicapped Week” in 1945 has expanded to the entire month of October with the mission of “Celebrating the value and talent that workers with disabilities add to America’s workplaces and economy.” A lot has changed for the better for those of us with disabilities in 80 years.
