Position Summary
Arin's Good Girl Dog Treats® is seeking a relationship-focused Business Development & Community Partnerships Representative to help grow our wholesale business, strengthen community partnerships, and expand awareness of our mission throughout the Charlotte region.
This is not a traditional sales role. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, connecting people, creating opportunities, and representing a mission-driven organization in the community.
The successful candidate will help grow our network of wholesale partners, identify branded treat and corporate gifting opportunities, increase sales with existing customers, and serve as an ambassador for Arin's in the community.
Some local travel throughout Gaston, Mecklenburg, and surrounding counties is expected as part of building and maintaining customer and community relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales

Identify and cultivate new wholesale accounts including pet boutiques, veterinary clinics, pet service businesses, specialty retailers, and gift shops.

Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and community outreach.

Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and partners.

Present Arin's products and mission to potential customers and partners.
Account Management

Maintain strong relationships with existing wholesale customers.

Conduct regular account visits and check-ins.

Increase reorder frequency and customer retention.

Identify opportunities for seasonal products, promotions, and expanded product offerings.
Community Partnerships

Develop relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders.

Identify opportunities for branded treats, corporate gifting, employee appreciation gifts, and event partnerships.

Represent Arin's at networking events, community gatherings, and business functions.

Increase awareness of Arin's mission and impact throughout the region.
Reporting & Planning

Track sales activity, partnerships, and customer interactions.

Maintain accurate records of opportunities and follow-up activities.

Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in sales, business development, fundraising, account management, community engagement, or partnership development.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.

Comfortable networking and representing an organization in professional settings.

A passion for community impact and inclusive employment.
Experience in the pet industry, nonprofit sector, hospitality, beverage sales, chamber of commerce, community relations, or similar relationship-based roles is a plus.
