
Operations Manager
Location: Belmont, NC • Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
Job Overview
The Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Arin’s Good Girl Dog Treats (AGGDT). This position is responsible for managing the kitchen operations, ensuring smooth production flow, managing team members, and coordinating market schedules. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, leadership experience, and a passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Key Responsibilities

Kitchen and Production Oversight:

Manage the kitchen manager and bakers, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Oversee production schedules to ensure timely completion of orders and product availability.

Maintain smooth production flow across all stages, including prep, mixing, baking, and packaging.

Market Scheduling and Coordination:

Coordinate market schedules and ensure the team is prepared for each event.

Oversee logistics for market setup, sales, and tear-down.

Ensure adequate inventory and preparation for market events and manage booth staffing needs.

Inventory and Ingredient Management:

Manage ingredient purchases and ensure supplies are stocked in a timely and cost-effective manner to facilitate continuous production.

Maintain inventory records and ensure product quality.

Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and supplies.

Manage demand variation without running out of product.

Team Management and Development:

Lead a team of bakers and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support.

Set and monitor personal and professional goals for each team member, fostering growth and development.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback

Promote a positive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, safety, and respect.

Collaborate with Direct Support Person (DSP's) to ensure bakers have the support and resources needed to perform their tasks successfully.

Operational Efficiency and Improvements:

Analyze and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Ensure all equipment is maintained and in working order.
-
Implement systems to track production metrics, inventory, and staff performance.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.

Collaborate with the Executive Director on budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform any additional tasks related to the smooth operation of the business.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Support and grow the business by implementing and executing strategic sales efforts, building relationships with customers, and identifying new opportunities to expand market reach.

Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

3+ years of experience in operations management or a similar role.
-
Proven leadership skills, particularly in managing and developing teams.

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Experience in inventory management and vendor relationships.

A passion for the mission of Arin’s Good Girl Dog Treats, including supporting individuals with IDD.
Desired Skills
